Ive joined a bucket load of these groups on FB and I have to say, its quite worrying how many nonces there are out there. it seems like there is a huge epidemic with paedophilia in the UK and I am actually loving the work these guys are doing as it does seems the police are more focussed on other shit when there is clearly a huge problem.

Some of them have been doing FB Live feeds when doing stings but due to some idiots last week at Bluewater taking it into their own hands and tried to assault the sting which could potentially get the case gets chucked out, they have decided to stop the live feeds and just post up videos after. Im all for that, anything that could risk the offender literally getting a 'get out of jail free' card, shouldnt be risked.

So many videos to watch on their pages - Shane Brannigan is bloody hardcore, I dont know how he doesnt lose his shit but I cant thanks the man enough for doing this.

Whats your views, do you support the general public using decoys and basically doing the polices job? Do you feel the justice system is doing a good enough job when sentencing these monsters?

Here is a petition if you think the police and justice system are not doing enough

My personal view is that the Conservatives have a lot to answer for since they merged CEOP with the NCA in 2013, its services (like those of the police) have suffered.

As for Paedophile hunters I don't know what to feel, part of me is glad if they highlight people for the police but it isn't a huge jump from people doing things like this to lynchings.

I am all for them being nabbed, but I'd prefer the police forewarned and in attendance, and actually, making the approach to the offender.

In addition, catching any of them could bring about further intelligence on other offenders, so I am in favour of this kind of action.

These guys are almost at a 100% conviction rate. The level they go to with their decoys is very impressive. That stat says it all IMO and you are totally right. The Tories have fucked over the police resource as well as Doctors and numerous other departments that need more funding and more resource. I wonder if the politicians are avoiding this specific topic as we all know, there are loads of nonces in parliament (Just look at the stories coming out of Dolphin Square and what has gone on in those apartments- disgusting)

I think these hunters are doing a fantastic job. Even if they caught one, thats a good thing IMO. Now that I have a kid I'm even more worried about online grooming. They post up all the chat on FB/Whatsapp/Grndr etc and what these monsters say is absolutely vile. Its so, so bad and IMO, without these groups, they would operate unchecked as the police clearly dont have the resource. They are non violent (I have no idea how they dont restrain themselves) and do not take donations - that says a lot bout the nature of these guys.

Kids are so innocent and this is a real bad epidemic.

Am I right in saying that paedophillia is like me liking the opposite sex or same sexes being attracted to each other? ie they really cant help themselves?

I'm not really in agreement with it due to people being a bit stupid and previous incidents of paediatricians being targeted, etc. And having the same name as someone who is "inclined" can put a big target on you. People also forget that these people are humans with families who have to deal with the fall out.

As Quin said, highlight an issue to the police or other authority but don't take matters into your own hands. Mobs become yobs.

Finally - if you have to hide something you are doing, you already know it's not legal. What they did was assault someone on behalf of someone else. Doesn't make them any better than people who assault muslims because they're muslims and therefore must be terrorists.

BTW - you want to be a bit careful of throwing the nonce word around indiscriminately.

Further - if kids are that innocent, explain Jamie Bulger.

Final edit - that comment wasn't to start a fight. Not all kids are innocent and there are many kids that are fucked up too. I'm not defending paedos in any way, shape or form but looking at it somewhat more objectively because I don't have children. That doesn't disqualify me from having and voicing an opinion Wink

No. Edited because I didn't read properly.

"philia" indicates a liking for something. It can be healthy (bibliophile) or unhealthy but fairly harmless (necrophilia) and it can be also be bad like paedophilia.
